Qualifications & Experience
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license (required)
- Proficient in delivering nursing care to children aged 3-18 within a school setting
- Solid understanding of state-mandated health requirements for youth in schools
- Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or related clinical settings is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, addressing both routine and emergent health needs throughout the school day
- Conduct routine health screenings, such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis checks
- Administer prescribed medications and provide first aid as required
- Maintain accurate health records and prepare reports according to legal standards
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to promote overall student wellness
- Educate students and staff on health topics relevant to the school community
