- Deliver radiation therapy treatments following prescribed protocols and physician orders.
- Operate and utilize all treatment setups and machines safely and effectively.
- Perform patient simulation and treatment, ensuring accurate field verification with physicians.
- Document treatment changes and perform re-filming as directed.
- Conduct daily quality assurance checks on treatment and CT equipment.
- Communicate any equipment issues promptly to physicists, oncologists, and lead therapists.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and refer any physical or emotional concerns to appropriate clinical staff.
- Maintain a clean, orderly treatment environment and perform routine safety inspections.
- Report any potential safety hazards related to equipment to the Lead Therapist.
- Certification as a Radiation Therapist.
- Proficient with radiation therapy equipment and protocols.
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
