Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing brachytherapy and external beam treatments.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist nursing and medical teams during interventions.
- Provide patient and family education, along with psychosocial and emotional support throughout treatment stages.
- Conduct Point of Care Testing and perform procedures as ordered.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team across various institutions to optimize patient outcomes.
- 1-2 years of procedural nursing experience required, with strong preference for brachytherapy or radiation oncology background.
- 3-5 years of general nursing experience is required.
- Clinical expertise in oncology nursing and excellent critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication abilities and collaborative approach to care.
- PALS and pediatric training are a plus for potential pediatric patient care.
- 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
- Rotating shifts available: 6:30 am5:00 pm, 7:00 am5:30 pm, or 7:30 am6:00 pm.
