Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for complex adult patients undergoing brachytherapy and external beam radiation treatments.
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist during brachytherapy, and provide post-procedure recovery support.
- Educate patients and families, delivering psychosocial and clinical support throughout treatment phases.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including oncology specialists and support staff from affiliated institutions.
- Perform ordered procedures and Point of Care Testing with clinical precision and adherence to protocols.
- Potential involvement with pediatric patients if PALS certification and pediatric training are present.
- 1-2 years of procedural nursing experience required; prior experience in brachytherapy or radiation oncology highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of general nursing experience.
- Strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic cancer care and clinical research environment.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Department hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Rotating shifts: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, or 7:30 AM 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
