Pharmacy Technician in Henrico, VA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a retail and long-term care pharmacy setting with a focus on superior customer service. This role involves medication distribution and educating customers on proper medication use, ensuring high standards of care and accuracy.

Location:

• Henrico, VA area (covering a maternity leave assignment in Petersburg, VA)
  
  

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (8.5 hours per day)
• Contract position beginning December 29, 2025, through early February 2026
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately distribute prescribed medications as directed by physicians and health practitioners
• Provide clear, helpful information about medications to customers
• Maintain a focus on delivering excellent customer service within a retail/long-term care pharmacy environment
• Support pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician License
• Previous experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills
