An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician skilled in inputting orders to support long-term care pharmacy operations. This full-time position is a contract-to-hire role lasting approximately 13 weeks. The role is flexible with options to work from homewith equipment providedor on-site/hybrid if local and preferred.
Responsibilities include accurately entering new prescriptions and changes to patient profiles, identifying and handling controlled substance requests per policy, and troubleshooting insurance rejections with billing support as needed. The technician will triage and prioritize orders, communicate with facilities to resolve missing information or dispense issues, and promptly answer phone calls within three rings. Close collaboration with pharmacists is essential, especially to notify when orders cannot be dispensed. Adherence to strict checking procedures is mandatory to ensure compliance and avoid disciplinary action. This role demands effective communication with back-office staff and delivering professional customer service. Attendance at required meetings and training is expected.
Qualifications and experience sought include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license. Certification as a CPhT is preferred. Candidates must have prior pharmacy technician experience along with proficiency in Framework software, which is essential. Strong typing skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to organize and manage workload independently are critical. Additional clerical skills and adaptability to new systems will contribute to success in this role. A quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet is required for remote work.
