An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations in a specialty retail setting focused on dermatology patients. This role is a contract-to-hire position, providing an excellent pathway to a permanent role if the fit is right.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of two pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Oversee dispensing, including nonsterile compounding of creams and gels.
- Collaborate with dermatology providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and pharmacy inventory.
- Utilize New Leaf pharmacy system (experience not required; training can be provided).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge.
- Dermatology pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of nonsterile compounding, especially creams and gels, is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This position begins in 1-2 weeks and runs for approximately 13 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and mutual agreement.
