This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a specialty retail pharmacy team in a dermatology-focused setting. As the Interim PIC, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations and manage a team of two pharmacy technicians, ensuring high-quality service and efficient workflow. This contract-to-hire role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position if mutually beneficial.
Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks with contract-to-hire potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pharmacy operations within a specialty retail environment
- Supervise and support a team of two pharmacy technicians
- Oversee dispensing and preparation of medications, including nonsterile compounding of creams and gels (a plus)
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Collaborate closely with dermatology providers to meet patient needs
- Maintain accurate records and manage inventory using pharmacy systems
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC
- Dermatology pharmacy experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience with nonsterile compounding preferred
- Familiarity with New Leaf software is helpful but not required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
