Position Details
- Location: Beaumont, TX
- Start Date: Mid to Late April
- Employment Type: Full-Time | 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
- Position 1: Variable shift, rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts Monday through Friday with weekend coverage approximately every other weekend
- Position 2: Night shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM 6:00 AM (vacant for 18 months)
- Review and verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Support assigned units by processing medication orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
- Utilize MedHost electronic health record system for order entry and clinical documentation
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy protocols and standards
- Note: No code response required; clinical staff manage code situations
- Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred; less experience considered for strong candidates willing to learn
- Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience with pharmacy information systems; training available for MedHost (similar to Cerner)
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
- Positive and proactive approach to supporting team learning and patient care
- ACPE IV Certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred but not mandatory
