Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Chandler, AZ

An established grocery store and pharmacy chain is seeking per diem staff pharmacists to join their growing retail pharmacy team in the greater Phoenix area. This role is ideal for experienced pharmacists interested in flexible, part-time work covering vacation periods, volume spikes, and call-outs during peak seasons such as graduation, summer breaks, and holidays. Training is provided in advance to prepare you for various pharmacy settings, including some pharmacist-only sites.

Location:

• Chandler, AZ, with other store locations within commutable distance from Phoenix
• Travel reimbursement and accommodations available for sites beyond a 30-mile commute
  
  

Schedule/Hours

• MonSat, typically 10 a.m.7 p.m.; some stores close at 8 p.m.
• No guaranteed hours; availability to work 2-4 days per week preferred
  
  

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in a retail setting averaging 100125 prescriptions per day
• Provide patient counseling, medication therapy management, and immunizations
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, especially in larger stores with strong support staff
• Complete training, including at least one 8-hour paid shift focused on site-specific systems and protocols using QS1 software
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including holding an active BLS certification
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience; 5 years preferred for higher compensation
• Immunization privileges required
• Valid BLS card
• Experience with QS1 is a plus
• Ability to work independently in pharmacist-only locations and as part of a team in larger stores
