Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observation techniques.
- Develop precise diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Continuously monitor and modify treatment as needed.
- Educate and support students and their families on communication disorders and therapy strategies to enhance daily communication.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of evaluations, interventions, and progress, ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and educational teams to promote coordinated and effective care. Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings as required.
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Maryland state licensure or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Proven skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy delivery for pediatric populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
