Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Baltimore, Maryland

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a vibrant K-12 school setting located in a picturesque waterfront city in Maryland. With marinas and boats nearby, and the nation's capital less than a two-hour drive away, the location combines scenic beauty with urban convenience. This itinerant role spans the full 2025-2026 school year on a contract basis, requiring 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observation techniques.
• Develop precise diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Continuously monitor and modify treatment as needed.
• Educate and support students and their families on communication disorders and therapy strategies to enhance daily communication.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of evaluations, interventions, and progress, ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and educational teams to promote coordinated and effective care. Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings as required.
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Maryland state licensure or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Proven skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy delivery for pediatric populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
