Phoenix Therapies (formerly Phoenix Speech Therapy) is a therapist-owned and certified woman-owned private practice that is a multidisciplinary therapy practice located in Forest Hill, MD, offering speech therapy, occupational therapy, and education services for children and teens. Services are provided at the Forest Hill clinic, schools, daycares, and virtually. We promote quick and efficient carry-over and improved clinical outcomes towards patient goals, using the foundation of executive function coaching. We are a small business that prides ourselves on encouraging all of our patients to rise above their challenges and discover their inner phoenix

We are looking for an SLP who has3 years experience with early intervention, articulation challenges, AAC device training, and social skills. The SLP candidate will be expected to provide competent and compassionate therapy and parent training, while allowing for creativity and flexibility within the sessions. The candidate will be expected to represent Phoenix Therapies and honor the high expectations of providing the best speech therapy services for families in our community. The candidate should possess strong communication skills and a willingness to be flexible, as we offer in-clinic visits, off-site locations, and options for virtual visits.

This position will be covering a maternity leave and can easily grow into a part-time position. We are seeking 4-5 days/week availability during the months of April to July. Please note this is a W2 position that is hourly. We ask for you to provide the best care and efficient documentation and we'll handle the assigned sessions and billing. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Provide speech therapy sessions, focusing on improving communication skills.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to support patient progress and provide education on speech-related issues.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Maryland state licensure
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction
  • Knowledge of phonological processes and articulation interventions
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies and pediatric care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a private practice setting
  • Compensation is based on years of experience and competencies in areas within the scope of speech language pathology.
