OR Registered Nurse | Mentor, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in Operating Room (OR) settings to support surgical teams in a hospital environment. This 13-week contract role focuses on providing skilled perioperative nursing care with an emphasis on scrubbing and circulating duties, including specialized procedures.

Location

Based in Mentor, OH, this position serves a facility with two operating departments: a main OR with 26 rooms supporting level one trauma cases, and a secondary 7-room inpatient/outpatient unit. The primary assignment will be within the 7-room unit, with flexibility to float to other areas as staffing and surgical schedules require.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the OR, including scrubbing for surgical procedures
• Utilize advanced skills with the Da Vinci XI surgical system
• Assist in both circulating and scrubbing roles, particularly for posterior eye surgeries and eye trauma cases when applicable
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient operations
• Adapt to changing schedules and float between units as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proven experience in OR nursing with the ability to scrub proficiently
• Familiarity with Da Vinci XI robotic surgery platform is essential
• Experience with ophthalmic (eye) surgical procedures is a strong plus
  
  

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (five 8-hour shifts)
