Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medication management, including ordering lab tests, selecting therapies, and managing adverse events.
- Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols, ensuring accuracy, appropriate dosages, and patient safety.
- Educate patients and caregivers on oncology treatment plans, manage side effects, and support medication adherence.
- Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff during clinical rounds to optimize treatment decisions.
- Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug management, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree.
- Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
- Completion of PGY2 residency or oncology fellowship, OR PGY1 plus at least 3 years experience as a clinical oncology specialist, OR 5 years clinical oncology specialist experience.
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) designation preferred.
- Proven clinical (not staffing) experience at an advanced level.
- Monday to Friday, day shifts.
