Occupational Therapist School Setting in Long Beach, CA

An opportunity is available for Occupational Therapists (OT) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in the Long Beach, CA area. This contract position spans the current school year with the potential to extend through June 10, 2026. Assignments vary across multiple schools in the northern Los Angeles area, including locations such as San Fernando, Van Nuys, and Northridge. Caseloads involve working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, often in itinerant roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with educational goals and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Conduct standardized assessments and document student progress
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student development
• Apply knowledge of special education processes and terminology
• Manage caseloads with minimal supervision, demonstrating professional initiative
  
  

Qualifications Desired

• Active California Occupational Therapy license
• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, with some exposure or clinical experience in school-based therapy highly valued
• Familiarity with educational guidelines, including CDE protocols for OT in school settings
