Occupational Therapist School Setting - Freeport, IL

This full-time occupational therapist position offers an opportunity to support elementary students in a school setting, with a focus on helping children develop the fine motor, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills necessary to participate fully in classroom activities. The role begins with a paid orientation from August 4-5, 2025, followed by the school year contract running from August 11, 2025, through May 21, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate student participation in classroom tasks by addressing individual OT needs
• Adapt tasks and environments to enhance student accessibility and success
• Administer diagnostic and evaluation assessments
• Prepare detailed, clear reports based on evaluations and observations
• Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations tailored to each student
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and peers to monitor and support student progress
  
  

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state OT license
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
• Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude to meet diverse student needs
