Occupational Therapist School Setting - Belvidere, IL

Providing occupational therapy services in an elementary and middle school setting, this contract role offers an opportunity to support students participation in classroom activities and overall development. Working 1 to 3 days per week in Belvidere, IL, the position is ideal for an OT or COTA passionate about fostering student growth through targeted therapy and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities to ensure active participation alongside peers
• Modify tasks or classroom environments to accommodate individual student needs
• Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
• Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and peers to address student progress and highlight areas needing additional support
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
