Neonatal ICU (NICU) Registered Nurse in Syracuse, NY

A registered nurse with NICU experience is needed for a 16-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY, providing specialized care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position offers a night shift schedule, working 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including four weekend shifts within every four-week period. The role requires flexibility, as blocked scheduling is not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
• Monitor and assess patients conditions continuously
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Accurately document patient information using EPIC charting system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing education and development related to NICU care
  
  

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license, active and clear
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP
• Proficient in EPIC electronic charting
• Ability to work designated night shifts with weekend coverage
• Comfortable wearing any color scrubs as per unit dress code
