Neonatal ICU (NICU) Registered Nurse in Liverpool, NY

A Registered Nurse with NICU expertise is needed for a 16-week contract position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located near Syracuse, NY. This role requires a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill newborns in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records.
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control protocols.
• Provide education and support to families of NICU patients.
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current, active, and clear Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years NICU nursing experience required.
• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Flexibility to work night shifts (7:00 pm 7:00 am) including four weekend shifts within a 4-week period.
