Key Responsibilities
- Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu, pneumonia, COVID), renal failure, wound care, and peritoneal dialysis
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and managing non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- Managing drains, tubes, PIV starts, and central lines
- Collaborating with CNAs for patient ADLs, mobility, and feeding assistance
- Utilizing telemetry monitoring technology and virtual nursing resources for patient care
- Performing phlebotomy and working alongside RT, hospitalist, and intensivist teams for 24/7 patient coverage
- Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg or telemetry nursing experience, though first-time travelers are welcome
- Proficient in Epic EMR system, IV pump usage, medication dispensing systems, and patient monitoring equipment
- Skilled in basic med/telemetry nursing procedures and technology utilization
- Ability to float within the regional hospitals when needed (travel time compensated)
- 12-hour night shifts
- Approximately 5 shifts per week (5.25 as indicated)
