Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for up to 64 beds, including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, CDU, and psychiatric units.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate documentation and patient management.
- Demonstrate charge nurse capabilities when required, overseeing unit operations and patient flow.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care to patients ranging from newborns to older adults.
- Adapt to floating assignments within the unit and maintain professionalism in variable block scheduling.
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State with verification through NURSYS.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, with pediatric exposure preferred.
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Proven experience with charge or management roles in an ED setting preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC EMR.
- Up-to-date nursing license and compliance with demographic verification and active credentials.
- Familiarity with specialty emergency nursing equipment and protocols.
- Shift: 8:30 am 9:00 pm
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed; flexibility is essential.
