Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Minimum 1.5 years recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2 years recent Level 3/4 ED experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (including heart block identification) and pass a Telemetry Test with an 85% score on Day 1
- Required certifications: TNCC, BLS, and ACLS (all active and unexpired)
- Preferred experience with EPIC electronic medical records system, prior travel nursing assignments, and critical care exposure
- Flexibility to float to Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients 15 years and older) if needed
- 48-hour nights shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- 48-hour contract with 4 shifts of 12 hours each
- Provide emergency care for a 1:4-5 patient ratio according to acuity
- Support a busy ED department with up to 120 treatment areas and a daily census of 350-440 patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to triage, treat, and stabilize a variety of emergency cases
- Avoid trauma room assignments for travelers during the contract
