Qualifications/Desired Experience
- State certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in resource or self-contained settings
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Provide specialized instruction and create individualized lesson plans based on IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to foster inclusion and student growth
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies as needed to support success
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for improvement
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines
