A specialized teaching opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide support to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. This on-site contract position is based in Mansfield, Texas, focusing on serving one campus within a dedicated special education program.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, attending Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, interpreting audiograms, and managing a caseload of students requiring deaf and hard of hearing services. The role requires collaboration with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans that support student success.
Qualifications:
- Active Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is required
- Experience in a Texas school setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to perform student evaluations and interpret audiological data
- Competence in managing daily responsibilities for students from PreK to 6th grade
Position Details:
- Full-time or part-time availability, ranging from 21 to 35 hours per week
- Minimum of 3 workdays per week, with 7-hour days
- Contract term extends until May 21, 2026
- On-site work only, no remote or virtual arrangements accepted
