A closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking two experienced Clinical Pharmacists with expertise in narcotics and controlled substances for direct hire positions in the Columbus, OH area. The site is expanding and offers opportunities to work within a specialized environment focused on medication management for long-term care facilities.
Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule Options:
- 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM 12:30 AM, 5x8-hour shifts with every other weekend
- 2nd Shift, 7 days on / 7 days off, Monday to Sunday, 4:00 PM 2:30 AM
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current Ohio pharmacist license in-hand is required
- Proven experience handling narcotics and controlled drugs
- Strong knowledge of medication evaluation including dosage and potential interactions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing, and healthcare teams
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed medication and patient records
- Familiarity with legal requirements surrounding controlled substances
- Experience with Frameworks pharmacy system is a plus
- Willingness to perform on-call duties as needed
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness including drug selection, dosage, and administration
- Recommend therapy changes in consultation with physicians and client facility staff
- Maintain and update clinical data, medical histories, and laboratory results
- Resolve medication-related queries through professional communication with multidisciplinary teams

- Manage controlled drug registers and uphold strict medication security protocols
- Support staff education and compliance regarding narcotic handling
