An exciting opportunity is available for experienced IV Pharmacists in Columbus, OH, at a growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy specializing in complex medication therapies. The site seeks one IV Lead Pharmacist and one IV Staff Pharmacist to support its expanding operations. This is a direct hire role offering the chance to work with specialized therapies and advanced clinical practices in a structured pharmacy environment.
Positions and Schedule:
- IV Lead Pharmacist: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, flexible between 7:00 AM3:30 PM or 8:00 AM4:30 PM
- IV Staff Pharmacist: 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, flexible between 4:30 PM12:00 AM or 6:00 PM2:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and dispense intravenous medications including hazardous drugs, TPN, IVIg, and biologics under strict adherence to USP 797/800 guidelines.
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of drug orders, assessing dosage, interactions, and compatibility with focus on complex disease states (e.g., oncology, immunology, transplant).
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and manage adverse effects, providing expert clinical oversight.
- Deliver specialized patient education regarding medication therapy, administration techniques, and side effect management.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, document meticulously, and ensure cleanroom and sterile compounding protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, including nurses, physicians, and case managers, to coordinate medication therapy and patient care effectively.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Ohio Pharmacy license is required (must have license in-hand).
- Expertise in sterile compounding and IV medication preparation.
- Strong clinical knowledge in managing high-cost, complex therapies, especially in specialty pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with USP 797/800 standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
