Key Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and timely handling.
- Manage insurance claims, including adjudications and resolving rejections.
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring.
- Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures.
- Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support team needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and internal staff.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- PTCB certification and valid pharmacy technician license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience, with retail background preferred; some call center experience is beneficial.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Tech savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare providers.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
