Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) and completion of the Written portion
- Prior experience providing sign language interpreting services in educational settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in various interpreting modalities and technologies
- Adaptable, with the ability to manage confidential information and maintain professionalism
- Reliable and punctual, with strong interpersonal skills
- Deliver interpreting services for students requiring sign language communication access
- Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to ensure understanding of instructional content and social interactions
- Support students’ IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate interpretation logs as required
- Participate in school meetings and training sessions as needed
- Consistent, full-time hours throughout the academic year
