- Facilitate effective communication between hard of hearing students and their teachers and peers through proficient sign language interpretation.
- Deliver 1:1 support within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program at an elementary school.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure students language and learning needs are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times while supporting students in compliance with educational regulations.
- Adhere to credentialing and district requirements including fingerprinting and obtaining a JLA badge.
- EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.0 or higher required.
- Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred.
- Ability to work full-time, up to 37.5 hours per week, on-site.
- Valid fingerprint clearance through AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness to complete fingerprinting process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students and staff.
