Duties
- Engage with prospective clients through outside sales efforts, including telemarketing and community outreach, to identify insurance needs and generate new business opportunities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to assess property, casualty, health, and life insurance requirements, offering tailored solutions that match their unique situations
- Negotiate policy terms, coverage options, and pricing with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to insurance regulations and compliance standards
- Manage sales administration tasks using CRM systems to track leads, follow-ups, policy details, and client interactions efficiently
- Build long-lasting customer relationships through personalized service, ongoing communication, and proactive benefits administration support
- Stay updated on industry trends, insurance regulation changes, and product offerings such as commercial insurance, health insurance, and HIPAA compliance requirements
- Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to facilitate smooth policy issuance and claims processing
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments with a focus on insurance or financial services preferred
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual capabilities are a plus)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems for client management and sales tracking
- Knowledge of property casualty insurance products along with health and life insurance policies
- Familiarity with insurance regulation standards such as HIPAA for health plans and benefits administration processes
- Sales administration experience including client communication, analysis skills for assessing coverage needs, and marketing strategies to attract new clients
- Customer service expertise with a focus on building trust and delivering solutions that meet client expectations
