Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator
Sole Solutions Podiatry – Hermitage, PA
Sole Solutions Podiatry is seeking a warm, friendly, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional patient experience.
We are looking for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable balancing administrative and light clinical responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Administrative Duties
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances; maintain accurate daily transaction records
- Answer and manage phone calls and voicemail
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes
- Upload and organize documents in the electronic health record
- Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and diagnostic testing
- Schedule outside diagnostic tests and specialist referrals
- Fax orders and maintain communication with outside facilities
Light Clinical / Medical Assisting Duties - On the Job Training Provided
- Room patients and prepare exam rooms
- Clean rooms after patient encounter and stock as needed
- Assist patients with shoes and socks as needed
- Fit walking boots and braces
- Measure patients for diabetic shoes
- Coordinate specimen shipments
- Assist with wound care supply ordering
- Maintain communication with medical supply vendors
Qualifications:
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-centered demeanor
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy medical office
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable handling financial transactions accurately
- Willingness to learn clinical tasks (training provided)
- Prior medical office experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
