A confidential client in higher education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time Surgical Technologist Instructor to join their team. This position offers an opportunity to impact the future of surgical technology by providing high quality instruction and mentoring to students in various programs. The role is based in Maumee, OH. ALL CANDIATES ARE REQUIRED TO TEACH ON-CAMPUS (THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the instructor of record for all lectures, laboratory, and clinical instruction in the surgical technology program.
- Mentor students, ensuring they meet course objectives and develop practical skills.
- Prepare and provide all instruction according to the required curriculum.
- Monitor student attendance and provide timely feedback on performance.
- Develop individualized success plans for at risk students.
- Maintain professional relationships with faculty, administration, and the community.
General Faculty Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with students and staff, providing consistent feedback.
- Be accessible for academic assistance through various channels.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to address student performance concerns.
- Maintain professionalism in communication, behavior, and appearance.
Requirements
Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in the field.
- Must have an Associate's degree or higher.
- Licensed MBSTSA or NCCT preferred.
- Teaching background is a plus; dynamic lecture ability is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Ability to commute to the Maumee, OH campus.
