We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic technique and HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs, perform physical examinations, and document patient progress using EMR systems.
- Assist with pre operative and post operative calls.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to CDC guidelines.
- Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including medication administration, nutrition, and post-acute care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with medical records regulations such as ICD-10 coding standards.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advancements in trauma medicine, infectious disease care, geriatrics, and other specialized areas relevant to the role.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospital medicine or acute care settings such as An Ambulatory Surgical Center
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and order entry.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for comprehensive patient assessment.
- Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with physicians, patients, and families across diverse populations including, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and those with disabilities.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining a high standard of patient safety and quality care under pressure in urgent or emergency situations.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
