Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, mounting systems, electrical wiring, and fixtures according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts safely and effectively
- Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to guarantee optimal performance of solar installations
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks including roofing, plumbing connections, and fixture installation
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records
Skills
- Strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems with experience in electrical wiring and fixture installation
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate system setup
- Knowledge of NEC standards for safe electrical practices in commercial and residential settings
- Hands-on experience with construction site work, roofing techniques, plumbing connections, and working at heights on roofs
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other construction machinery
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical installation projects is highly desirable
- Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety guidelines
