Solu is currently seeking a Data Center Analyst to support our banking client’s critical data center operations. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on supporting and maintaining data center infrastructure within a controlled, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on installation, removal, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including:
- Servers, network devices (routers, switches), storage systems, and security appliances
- Racks, patch panels, copper and fiber cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure
- Assign and manage rack space, cabling, ports, and connectivity in accordance with established standards
- Stage equipment for installation and removal; accept deliveries and manage shipping documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, cabling, and infrastructure changes
- Interpret project requirements and work closely with engineering and operations teams
- Communicate technical status, issues, and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to client standards, policies, procedures, and risk controls
- Identify and escalate operational or risk-related issues as needed
- Support internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive team environment
Qualifications
- Combined minimum of 4 years of education and/or relevant work experience
- Hands-on experience in a critical or controlled environment, Data centers strongly preferred. Acceptable alternatives include: hospitals, power plants, or similar mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with IT hardware assets and documentation practices
- Experience with cabling and low-voltage infrastructure
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing status updates and communicating technical issues to management
- Strong customer focus with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Technology or a related field
- Exposure to enterprise data center environments and standards
- Certifications or formal training in related technologies
Salary : $45,000 - $62,000
