About the Job:

Sogeti is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and installation of electrical subsystems for autonomous robotic platforms and ground-based vehicles. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop electrical architecture, wiring harnesses, embedded systems, and prototype solutions that improve safety, reliability, and performance in advanced robotic applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with electrical system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, and electronic testing within complex electromechanical environments.

What You Will Do at Sogeti:

• Design electrical system architectures, wiring diagrams, harnesses, pin mappings, and subsystem integration plans for robotic and vehicle-based platforms.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to determine optimal routing of wiring harnesses and placement of electronic control modules.
• Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify wiring harnesses, electrical prototypes, and electronic assemblies to support product development efforts.
• Analyze electrical systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, protocol analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve functional issues.
• Program and configure embedded electronic modules while supporting integration, validation, and system-level testing activities.
• Develop and execute electrical testing procedures, document results, and recommend corrective actions, modifications, or equipment replacements as needed.
• Support installation, maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.

What You Will Bring:

• 5 years of experience in electrical systems integration, troubleshooting, harness design, and testing within robotics, automotive, industrial equipment, or related environments.
• Experience using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, protocol analyzers, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of wiring harness development, electrical schematics, IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, wire routing, and electronic system design; experience with Altium or similar CAD/electrical design tools preferred.
• Experience programming or configuring embedded modules and working with visual programming tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, PLC Ladder Logic, or similar technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose electrical and electromechanical issues, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and support prototype development through production deployment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Additional experience with robotics, autonomous systems, vehicle electronics, CAN bus communication, embedded systems, or heavy equipment is highly preferred.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $51,900 - $113,900.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
