Compensation: $180 --$220K base

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Director of Technology Governance, Portfolio & Administration to provide independent oversight, governance, and transparency across a large-scale technology organization.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for establishing governance frameworks, ensuring financial discipline, and driving portfolio visibility across complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives. The position operates as a critical control function, enabling effective decision-making, risk management, and accountability at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Governance & Controls
- Define, implement, and maintain technology governance frameworks aligned with enterprise standards
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, security policies, and regulatory obligations
- Establish clear decision rights, escalation paths, and governance forums
- Provide independent challenge to deviations and enforce remediation actions
Portfolio Oversight & Transparency
- Oversee technology portfolio intake, prioritization, and demand governance processes
- Ensure visibility across:
- Investments
- Dependencies
- Capacity constraints
- Deliver independent portfolio insights, risk visibility, and executive reporting
PMO Governance & Delivery Standards
- Define and govern PMO standards, reporting cadence, and delivery practices
- Ensure consistency in execution and reporting across all technology initiatives
- Provide oversight through a small team structure (1 direct report leading PMO execution)
Financial Governance & Budget Oversight
- Oversee governance of a ~$130M technology budget
- Ensure:
- Cost transparency
- Budget adherence
- Financial controls compliance
- Partner with Finance and Procurement on vendor governance and spend management
Reporting & Executive Alignment
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reporting to senior leadership
- Enable data-driven decision-making through standardized reporting and insights
- Act as a trusted advisor and control function to technology leadership
Qualifications
Required Experience
Senior leadership experience in:
- Technology governance
- IT controls, audit, or compliance
- Enterprise portfolio oversight
- Proven experience overseeing large-scale budgets ($100M )
- Experience working in complex, matrixed, multi-business environments
Strong knowledge of:
- Risk management
- Internal controls
- Audit and compliance processes
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation environments
- Background in large, global enterprise organizations
- Prior exposure to enterprise PMO or portfolio management structures
