Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Data Engineer to join a strategic enterprise cloud transformation initiative. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including reusable frameworks, enterprise data pipelines, and AI-enabled capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong data engineering background with hands-on experience building modern cloud-native data platforms and delivering high-quality solutions in large enterprise environments. This position requires expertise in GCP services, Python development, and cloud-based data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and reusable data engineering frameworks on GCP.
• Develop AI-enabled data capabilities and support modern data platform initiatives.
• Create and optimize data processing workflows using cloud-native technologies.
• Implement best practices for data engineering, automation, scalability, and performance.
• Manage and optimize BigQuery workloads, including cost management and performance tuning.
• Develop solutions utilizing event-driven and batch processing architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise cloud modernization efforts.
• Participate in CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering productivity and delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
• Strong background in data engineering with experience building enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines.
• Advanced Python development skills.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Cloud Composer
• BigQuery
• Pub/Sub
• Dataflow
• Cloud Functions
• Workflows
• Proven expertise in BigQuery workload management, performance optimization, and cost control.
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale data processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, data integration, and modern data engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Hadoop and related data ecosystem technologies.
• Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives and modernization programs.
• Exposure to AI-ready data architectures and advanced analytics platforms.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.
