Project Manager – HR & Time Management Applications
Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $143,000 – $160,000
Location: Remote (Local candidates preferred; Pacific Time preferred, Central Time acceptable. EST not supported)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Pacific Time)
Travel: Minimal (2–4 onsite days per year)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage Human Capital and Time Management application initiatives within a large healthcare environment. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and Human Resources, ensuring that HR technology solutions are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of healthcare IT experience, HRIS expertise, and strong project leadership, with the ability to oversee complex initiatives, support enterprise applications, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle management of HR and time management applications, including systems such as Workday, Kronos, and HealthStream
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects supporting HR operations, ensuring quality delivery, timelines, and alignment with business goals
- Partner with HR and business leaders to gather requirements, define solutions, and prioritize initiatives
- Oversee application support, enhancements, integrations, and system optimizations
- Provide strategic and technical guidance related to HRIS, timekeeping, scheduling, credentialing, and identity management solutions
- Apply Agile and ITIL-based practices to manage service delivery and continuous improvement
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, engineers, and integration resources, through influence and mentoring
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and operational stability across supported applications
- Support vendor selection efforts, including RFP development and application evaluations
- Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership and large stakeholder groups
- Contribute to enterprise IT strategy and digital application planning initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business, or a related field
Experience
- 5 years of experience working in a healthcare environment
- 5 years of IT experience supporting or configuring HRIS systems
- Experience with scheduling and timekeeping systems
- Experience with credential tracking and identity management for employees and non-employees
- 3 years of experience managing senior-level business relationships and leading application support or project teams
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data management, and enterprise IT strategy

- Hands-on experience with Workday, Kronos, and HealthStream

Work Environment & Expectations
- Fully remote role with Pacific Time working hours required
- Occasional onsite presence may be required for key events such as system go-lives, team meetings, or orientation
- Equipment shipping available for candidates located more than two hours from the primary office location
- Professional communication skills are essential for collaboration across technical and business teams
