Overview
We are seeking a Digital Data Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining modern marketing data infrastructure. This role will support the implementation of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), a real-time customer data platform that is new to the organization and will replace legacy tools, including Adobe Analytics.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Adobe’s marketing ecosystem (including Adobe Journey and Adobe Marketing tools) and will play a key role in enabling scalable, real-time data solutions that drive marketing effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a data engineering team focused on marketing data operations, ensuring delivery is on time, high quality, and cost-effective
- Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy, including data capture, storage, and accessibility
- Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and activation across marketing platforms
- Drive the implementation and adoption of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including real-time customer data processing
- Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure data quality, compliance, and security
- Develop best practices for data modeling, architecture, and platform utilization to support scalability and performance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on enterprise data goals and marketing transformation initiatives
- Oversee API design, data sharing frameworks, and integration strategies across systems
- Promote automation of recurring data processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Provide leadership in team development, including coaching, mentoring, and career growth
- Act as a subject matter expert on marketing data engineering, Martech, and Adtech trends
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in data engineering, data management, marketing analytics, or related fields
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including RTCDP, CJA, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Audience Manager
- 3 years of experience managing or mentoring team members
- Strong experience with website tagging and analytics (Adobe or Google platforms)
- Experience with data ingestion, ETL development, taxonomy, and data modeling
- Proficiency with SQL and modern data tools
- Expertise in marketing data architecture and data management strategies
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices
- Experience with Martech and Adtech ecosystems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional Adobe Marketing Cloud tools (e.g., Test & Target, Audience Manager)
- Familiarity with web diagnostic tools such as Adobe Digital Pulse Debugger, Omnibug, or Charles Proxy
- Background in SEO, SEM, UX, or database marketing concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred)
