Clinical Pharmacist
Job Summary
Manages clinical activities, priorities, and problems, pharmacist staffing and workloads. Provides status report to pharmacy management effectively communicating issues, concerns, and suggestions as appropriate. Manages and develops clinical initiatives and determines therapeutic alternatives when drug shortages are identified and communicates with medical staff leadership and key stakeholders. Assists with budget preparation and daily financial activity specifically in relation to high cost drugs. Assists with budget preparation and daily financial activity specifically in relation to high cost drugs. Assists the Director and Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy with meeting administrative goals and objectives.
This position is part of the pharmacy department and functions as the pharmacy expert on the Infectious Diseases team, with a primary focus on supporting the OPAT program. This new position will play a key role in expanding OPAT services to include transplant ID patients and in developing the CoPAT service to optimize care for individuals receiving complex IV and oral antimicrobial therapies. While the main emphasis will be on OPAT and ambulatory stewardship, there will also be opportunities to participate in inpatient ID consult rounds and to precept pharmacy residents and/or students, offering a well-rounded clinical experience.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
English (speaking, reading, writing). Good general health and stress coping ability. Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, bending, crouching, etc.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Education Both PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP-accredited residency program PGY1 with 5 years of progressive clinical practice experience Bachelor’s Degree of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Experience 5 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty with PGY1 from an ASHP-accredited residency program or 8 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty.
