Pharmacy Clinical Specialist- Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship

The Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Clinical Specialist position is to perform professional, clinical tasks to maximize appropriate antimicrobial usage leading to optimization of patient care. Your Job Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy • Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy • Current or within 30 days of hire: CPR and Advanced Cardio Life Support certification maintained every 2 years • Required: Two years residency training with PGY2 residency in Infectious Diseases, OR Infectious Diseases Fellowship, OR PGY1 residency plus minimum of 3 years experience in Infectious Diseases with certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification in Infectious Diseases or Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists for Antimicrobial Stewardship • Preferred: Experience in an acute care hospital as a clinical pharmacist Your Job Responsibilities: • Communicate clearly and openly • Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment • Be accountable for your performance • Always look for ways to improve the patient experience • Take initiative for your professional growth • Be engaged and eager to build a winning team Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County.
