Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)
- Leading the Outpatient/Emergency Department Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP)
- Managing Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT)
- Reconciling outpatient/ED cultures with empiric antibiotic therapy
- Beta-lactam allergy de-labeling
- Starting a pharmacist-led travel e-consult clinic
- Expanding Latent Tuberculosis clinic
- Supporting HIV PrEP/Hepatitis clinics
- Educating healthcare providers on appropriate antimicrobial use
- Participating in local and VISN21 ASP activities
- Conducting ID-specific performance improvement initiatives
- Precepting APPE Students and PGY1 Pharmacy Residents
- 800 beds across three inpatient facilities and four outpatient clinics
- Home to multiple regional treatment centers
- Top-tier research programs with affiliations to Stanford University School of Medicine and the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy
