Job Summary
THIS IS NOT A HELPER OR APPRENTICE POSITION
We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Field Technician to join Snook Air Conditioning.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems across various properties.
Your experience will help ensure our customers’ comfort, as well as proper indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and overall system reliability. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning and ventilation equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Complete plumbing-related HVAC repairs, such as condensate drain cleaning and pipe replacements.
- Repair or replace mechanical components, including motors, fans, belts, valves, and similar parts.
- Assist with refrigeration system service, diagnostics, and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on complex jobs, including unit installations, system modifications, and equipment upgrades.
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and design plans to diagnose problems and complete repairs correctly.
- Demonstrate consistent communication with dispatch regarding job status, updates, and scheduling.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and job notes.
- Communicate clearly with customers about system condition, findings, and repair options.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
- Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation laws and licensing requirements.
Qualifications (Lead HVAC Technician)
- EPA Certification (Required).
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and proven safe vehicle operation.
- Minimum 3 years of proven HVAC field service experience (strong, independent field performance Required).
- Must have your Personal Tools and be fully prepared for field work (Required).
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments daily - in varying conditions.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and fully committed to the HVAC trade, as well as have a strong understanding of industry safety standards and best practices.
- Demonstrate ability to proficiently diagnose and repair HVAC systems withoutsupervision, while also independently managing time efficiently and maintaining a high level of workmanship on every call.
- Experience with Unit Installations, System Replacements, and Equipment Upgrades in diverse field environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with system troubleshooting, including electrical, airflow, and refrigeration diagnostics
- Solid mechanical understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing-related components, and refrigeration equipment.
- Proven proficiency using diagnostic tools, including ohmmeters and electrical testing equipment. As well as ability to read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with dispatch-driven service work and accurate job documentation with strong communication skills to clearly explain findings, system conditions, and repair options to both the Customers and Office.
- Working knowledge of construction-related HVAC applications strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with repair techniques such as mechanical adjustments or welding is a plus.
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
