Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks and other heavy equipment to efficiently handle materials, load and unload shipments, and support warehouse distribution operations. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, order picking, and equipment repair will ensure smooth, accurate, and safe warehouse processes. Duties
- Safely operate reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload shipments accurately while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with order picking using various warehouse management systems and ensure correct items are selected for shipping or inventory
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound goods against documentation
- Maintain organized storage areas using proper materials handling techniques and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a busy warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting heavy machinery
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling
- Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and long periods of standing or walking
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse supervision is highly desirable
