Director of Accounting

Hybrid Schedule | $175K - $200K Base 25%-30% Bonus
I'm partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed wealth management platform on a newly created Director of Accounting opportunity.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will serve as the accounting leader for the organization and play a key role in shaping processes, controls, systems, and accounting strategy as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Oversee financial reporting, audit management, internal controls, treasury, and cash management
• Serve as the organization's technical accounting expert
• Lead accounting for acquisitions, purchase accounting, lease accounting, and equity-related transactions
• Drive process improvements and ERP optimization initiatives
• Support post-acquisition integrations and finance transformation efforts
• Develop and mentor a growing accounting team
• Partner closely with FP&A, executive leadership, and private equity stakeholders
Ideal Background
• CPA required
• Big 4 or Tier 2 public accounting foundation
• Approximately 8-14 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting expertise including business combinations, ASC 842, equity accounting, and US GAAP
• Experience managing audits and complex close processes
• Background within financial services, wealth management, RIAs, or PE-backed services organizations is highly desirable
• Workday experience is a plus
• Looking for a high-potential accounting leader who is excited about growing with a rapidly scaling organization
Compensation
• Base Salary: $175K - $200K
• Bonus: 25%-30%
