SNI Financial has a Controller search underway for a growing company in the Oil & Gas industry. This is a high‑impact Assistant Controller opportunity with a growing, operationally complex company.
You’ll step into a visible role partnering closely with senior finance leadership, helping scale accounting operations in a multi‑entity environment while shaping processes, controls, and the future structure of the team.
What You’ll Do
- Own and oversee the monthly close for 10 legal entities in a multi‑company structure
- Ensure GAAP‑compliant financials, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and eliminations
- Lead intercompany accounting, allocations, and transfers across operating entities
- Partner with operations to ensure financials reflect real‑time business activity
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and documentation
- Support audits, system enhancements, and process improvements
- Mentor and guide accounting staff, stepping into leadership responsibilities as needed
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic projects alongside the CFO
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with multi‑entity operations
- Strong GAAP and general ledger expertise
- Proven ownership of month‑end close
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, hands‑on environments
- Strong communicator who works well with operations
Nice to Have:
- Energy, industrial services, trucking, or field‑based operations experience
- CPA or progress toward CPA
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
