Software Development Manager
A growing enterprise software organization is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead multiple agile software teams building and maintaining a web-based application platform using modern .NET, Angular, and SQL Server technologies. The role is based in Jacksonville, FL.
About the Role
The organization develops enterprise software used by physical asset managers to monitor, maintain, and optimize the performance of complex equipment and fleets. Customers span government, defense-related programs, commercial fleet operators, and industrial organizations.
The software supports decision-making in asset performance, lifecycle optimization, maintenance planning, and operational efficiency through data-driven applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple cross-functional software engineering teams in an agile development environment
- Serve as Scrum Master or agile lead for one or more teams as needed
- Manage concurrent projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality software on schedule
- Partner with product and project management to define priorities, sprint planning, and release execution
- Remove technical and operational impediments for development teams
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to improve CI/CD, release processes, and development workflows
- Participate in architectural reviews, security and compliance reviews, and code quality standards
- Manage team performance through goal setting, feedback, coaching, and regular check-ins
- Drive continuous improvement across development and testing practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 10 years of experience in software development after degree completion
- Prior technical leadership experience (team lead, tech lead, or equivalent)
- Experience working in an agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C#, .NET (Core or Framework), Angular (2 ), and SQL Server
