Industrial Project Manager – Grand Forks, ND
The Industrial Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Director and will lead complex, high-value industrial and mechanical construction projects across multiple sites. The PM will oversee field teams, manage budgets, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Preconstruction, and Operations to ensure safe, on-time, and cost-effective project delivery.
The successful candidate will establish our company as a trusted leader in industrial construction, working closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to solve challenges, implement solutions, and deliver projects that exceed expectations. The PM will be responsible for project planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder communication, while mentoring high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead industrial and mechanical construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives are met
- Develop, maintain, and manage project budgets, estimates, and proposals
- Direct and mentor field teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure efficient execution and high performance
- Communicate project status, risks, and solutions clearly to clients, internal leadership, and stakeholders
- Anticipate and proactively resolve project issues to prevent delays and cost overruns
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Preconstruction, and Operations teams to ensure projects align with company objectives and client expectations
- Oversee contractor and consultant performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, and quality standards
- Present project updates, financials, and risk assessments to senior leadership as required
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships by delivering consistent, high-quality results
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (PMP, CCM) a plus
- 7 years of industrial, commercial, or mechanical construction project management experience
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and high visibility
- Strong expertise in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and construction planning
- Experience leading field teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage project risks and challenges proactively
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.)
