What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production/General Labor position at Snelling Grand Rapids?
Experience in fabrication is a plus and/or desire and commitment to learn these skills.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. OT may be scheduled on Fridays as needed

Required Skills/Abilities
- Must possess a passion to learn and become familiar with various plastic materials used for fabrication, interest in learning new skills eventually, such as CNC operation or CAD.
- Attention to detail, organized, process-oriented, basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email)
- Ability to troubleshoot and see ways to correct processes that are not working properly.
- Can complete a task from start to finish without constant supervision if given proper instructions and objectives.
- Have warehouse/manufacturing experience (6 months or more preferred) -- not assembly line or press operator experience.
- Willingness to serve as a shop/utility worker who can collaborate with the team or independently without supervision wherever needed on the production of plastic and acrylic products.
Required Skills/Abilities continued:
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" decimal or fractional
- Capable of multitasking and performing a variety of different tasks as assigned.
- Ability to operate basic lawn and landscape maintenance equipment.
- Capable of reliability, including meeting deadlines, attendance, and timeliness.
- Lift 35-50 lbs. properly
- Be on feet 9 hours per day and walk swiftly.
Additional Job Duties May be Required:
:- Preparation of plastic materials for fabrication.
- Complete and maintain shop details in/out of the building and premises.
- Packaging of finished products.
- Skidding to move materials, boxes, etc.
- Maintain outdoor property - mowing, weeding, basic landscape maintenance.
- Troubleshoot during work processes.
- Read and respond to email.
